- 250 grams Paneer aka Indian cottage cheese, cut into cubes
- 1 Onion medium, diced and layers separated

- 3 stalks Spring Onion whites, sliced
- 3 stalks Spring Onion greens, sliced

- 1/2 yellow Bell Pepper, medium diced
- 1 tablespoon Soya sauce
- 1 tablespoon Chilli Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Tomato sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon Vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon Pepper powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
- as per taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon Cornflour
- 3-4 tablespoons Water
- As required Oil
- 1/4 cup Cornflour
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose Flour
- 2/3 teaspoon Ginger-Garlic paste
- 1/2 teaspoon Chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black Pepper powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 3 tablespoons Water, to prepare the batter
Steps to make to make Chilli Paneer
- In a mixing bowl, add corn flour maida, black pepper powder, red chilli powder, ginger-garlic paste, salt. Mix all the ingredients and add little water at a time and mix it. Make a thick, smooth and lump free batter adding about 1/4 cup water.
- Add paneer cubes in the batter and mix well.
- Deep fry the coated paneer in hot oil until golden brown. Set aside.
- In 1 tbsp oil, fry garlic, saute until light brown. Add onions, fry until translucent.
- Add the capsicum, fry for a few minutes. Add the Spring onions, saute.
- Add soya sauce, red chilli paste, tomato sauce, vinegar, one by one into the pan and mix it properly. Cook it in low flame for a minute.
- Add sugar and pepper, mix. Add the fried paneer.
- Add 1 teaspoon cornflour and 3-4 tablespoons of water into a bowl and mix it well to make a paste, quicly add to the pan and stir quickly for 1 minute.
- Garnish with spring onion greens, serve hot.
